E
unice Ardelia Turner was a proven leader and one who was truly committed to excellence. Jim Rohn defines leadership as the ability to attract someone to the gifts, skills and opportunities you offer…the great challenge of life. Through her work with the New York Nurses Association, Eunice certainly possessed the qualities of skillful leadership. Some of her greatest attributes included being a great listener an awesome motivator, assertive and decisive. Eunice was well respected and valued by her family and colleagues. We often meet people and wonder why we met them. Eunice was this type of person. She truly touched people’s lives with her thoughtfulness. It is obvious that she believed in creating opportunities to make life brighter and enjoyable for others. This was her vision for this scholarship.

The Eunice A. Turner Scholarship was developed to assist economically disadvantaged students in their pursuit of higher education. As family members of Eunice A. Turner, it is our honor to complete her vision.
